Sculpture Photography -for Marie Boyle

I am not known for studio still life, although I have taken my fair share over the years in the course of many commissions. A recent project required a studio still life of a wonderful piece of sculpture that was life size, only problem was it was very heavy and located in a warehouse.

The solution was to take the studio to the subject.

The result was a happy sculptor Marie Boyle and a rather beautiful sculpture ‘Cherish Those who Hold you Up ‘ represented in the gallery catalogue and media that I believe does justice to Marie’s stunning work .Although with sculpture which I personally consider the ultimate art form, the work has to be seen for real.

Photography is a great way to introduce an audience to a piece of sculpture ,but with all great art , you have to see and engage with it in the real world, not a virtual one . So next time you are flying out of Heathrow T5 check out Marie Boyles sculpture at T5 Gallery.
